I am writing to say ‘thank you’ for the bridge work completed today.
The whole process was smooth and painless and I am very pleased with the finished result.
Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
I have just had a filling by Nigel Foot. Very nice gentleman, he took very good care of me as a nervous patient.
Thank you everybody.
I’m writing to thank you for all your hard work restoring my neglected teeth.
You and your nurse Kasia helped me overcome my fear of dentists [that had kept me away for the last 20 years] with your professional and sympathetic manner.
It has been a long journey but I can now smile with a confidence that has been lacking for many years.
This may come as a surprise to receive this e-mail but as I approach the 8 year point since you so professionally re-engineered the bridge covering the front of my top jaw I thought you would wish to know that it remains in situ and there has not been a single incidence of movement or looseness. It remains as good as the day you completed my dentistry.
This achievement clearly demonstrates the great care and professionalism that you applied to your work for which I continue to be ever grateful.
Have a wonderful 2018 and keep healthy.
Yours in great appreciation.
Can I say a big thanks to everyone there at The Briars… everyone I have ever interacted there was professional, and provided a very pleasant experience: the reception team are always polite, pleasant and helpful, and Victoria and her assistant[s] have provided a very professional and pleasant treatment experience. Oh, not forgetting the Oral Hygiene team who also do a great job. The atmosphere at The Briars always seems quiet and restful – I can imagine that helps your more “nervous” patients immensely.
So, many thanks for the pleasant experiences over the last several years.
Many thanks for the work you did in my mouth today. I’m really pleased with the outcome, the crowns look fabulous and my mouth feels really good now. For the first time in ages I am proud of my smile. To add to that…. zero pain, so very happy indeed!”
“A short note to send my sincere thanks for helping me overcome my 30 plus year fear of dentistry! I had some very negative experiences in childhood but with your kindness and excellent care, I am pleased to say this has resolved. Nick always explains what he is going to do, is very gentle and always provides the opportunity to stop if I am anxious. His work is fantastic too and I can’t praise him enough. He treats all my family and in addition to being great with anxious patients, also has a fantastic approach with children making the “dentistry experience” as much fun and educational an experience as possible.
Just to thank you for the work you consummately carried out last week. All is comfortable and the Fraenum is coming to terms with the intrusion.
“Dear Nick, Sarah and all at The Briars,
I recently became a patient at the Briars because of a recommendation from a friend. I was seeing an NHS dentist previously but my teeth were deteriorating to the extent that for the last 10 years I could no longer laugh without putting my hand in front of my face to hide my embarrassment at the condition of my smile, and it really effected my confidence.
Then I met Nick and his assistant Sarah, who got on with the job of fixing my smile line and teeth. I am really thrilled with the result so far, so much so that I shall press ahead with further treatment Nick has suggested and complete the job with some implants!
What I really like about the Briars is that from the moment you step into the practice and are greeted by the ladies on reception, to the way Nick just gets on with the job in hand and the professionalism he displays, to sorting the finances out with Linda everyone is so pleasant, warm and friendly. I’m going to stay with the Briars for life. I’d recommend them to everyone as they have given me my confidence back. Thanks Nick.”
“Dear Mr. MacFarlane,
Thank you for the careful and attentive examination that you gave my teeth in November 2015. Again I thank you for your kindness and care.”
“To You All,
Thank you very much for your help making my new smile look so good!”
“Dear Mr. MacFarlane,
As we are shortly moving from Newbury to West Dorset, we felt we would like to send a short note of thanks to yourself and the staff at The Briars for looking after our dental health for the past many years. Many thanks and best wishes”

Thank you very much for coming to Oxford and delivering once again such an excellent course (excellence in Crown & Bridge) which from the feedback was interesting, informative and well received.”

“I would thoroughly recommend The Briars Dental Centre. When I attended recently, I was very anxious and really had nightmares about attending at all! Everybody I met , firstly the two receptionists and the dental nurses , did all they could to calm me and then the kindness and expertise shown by the dentist Victoria Holden did so much to allay my fears.
After my appointments with dental hygienist Joanna Craig, who was so patient and did a marvellous job on my teeth, I feel a new person and so much more confident.
The Briars obviously has state of the art equipment, and highly qualified staff, but the most important thing is that you work as a team, to put the patient at ease, and at every step of the treatment I was kept informed and felt in control. I am very grateful for the treatment I received, and from now on will be attending The Briars Dental Centre.”
“A short note to send my sincere thanks to Nick French for helping me overcome my 30 plus year fear of dentistry ! I had some very negative experiences in childhood but with Nicks kindness and excellent care, I am pleased to say this has resolved. Nick always explains what he is going to do , is very gentle and always provides the opportunity to stop if I am anxious. His work is fantastic too and I can’t praise him enough. He treats all my family and in addition to being great with anxious patients, also has a fantastic approach with children making the “dentistry experience” as much fun and educational an experience as possible. Many thanks.”
I just wanted to say “Thank you” for doing such a grand job with my fillings yesterday! They look great and feel very comfortable. The whole experience was a very friendly, comfortable and reassuring one.”
At my last visit you asked me if I would let you have my feelings on the sedation technique used during my recent visit and I am very happy to do so as it may help other people who are as nervous as me. As I told you, it was brilliant. It just felt like I had fallen asleep for a couple of hours and I can honestly say that I felt no pain at all during the RCT. I do vaguely remember having an x-ray taken and being asked to bite together at the end but apart from that I was blissfully unaware of anything. For someone like me who gets extremely anxious in the dentists chair, it was definitely the right choice and I would be more than happy to have it again should I need similar treatment in the future. Id also just like to add that everyone involved that afternoon was very understanding and patient thank you all very much!”

“Dear the Briars Team,
This is just a short not of appreciation from my new wife and I for the assistance Dc McFarlane gave to my father-in-law on Sunday Morning after his unfortunate breakfast incident, losing a capped tooth. You can imagine that 2 hours before the wedding tensions were running high, and by helping us out in this way, we managed to get him to the wedding on time and ready to give E away. We are on honeymoon now but just wanted to email you our thanks.”
N and E
First of all I would like to thank you for fitting the Somnowell Snore Guard and how professional the services was right form the first assessment to the final fitting and the follow up check. This has given me my life back from being tired and falling asleep during the evening and snoring at night which was keeping my partner awake, to getting a restful sleep all night until the alarm goes off in the morning.”
“Thank you for seeing me and making your examination and report on 17th December. Thank you for being kind and dealing with my terror and silly behaviour of not having been to a dentist in so long.
As you recommended I made an appointment with the Hygienist, and saw Kate Russell on Friday. I now have a new toothbrush and cleaning program!
I am leaving for Australia on Saturday and looking forward to seeing my family and friends, and to be truthful getting some sun. As soon as I get back I will telephone to make an appointment to start the treatment you proposed. I hope this is satisfactory with you.
Best wishes for 2016. I hope you had a happy and fun Christmas.”
I hope you’re having a good week.
Thank you for doing a super job on my filling – looks so much better 🙂 ”
“Thanks for my lovely new tooth, now I can feel my mouth again, it feels great!”
“Dear Dr Victoria Holden,
Just a brief note to say how much I appreciate the fact that you fitted me into your busy schedule yesterday at 2:30 pm in order to relieve my tooth ache by it’s extraction.
I have followed your post procedures and all is fine, so many thanks,”
“To Ross Macfarlane and staff,
Thanks for everything! Many thanks for all the work you have done on my teeth, I am thrilled with the results and really appreciate how comfortable you made the whole treatment.
With many thanks”
“Dear Dr Vicky,
This is a letter long overdue. I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with all the the work you have done with my teeth and mouth generally. You spotted things which needed sorting out and had the patience to see it through. I am very aware that I was probably a nightmare patient (could anything else go wrong with this woman?) so thank you for your tolerance.
I am really grateful to the technicians too – would you convey my thanks as they were sweet and listened to my concerns. Is seemed strange at first not to be coming over for my gluing session! It’s wonderful and I am so happy.”
A Big Thanks
“I am so pleased with my dentures, ..eat Brazil nutsI cannot stop smiling!”
“Dear Dr Holden,
May I send my sincere thanks to you and nurse for all your kindness and support and tolerance in fitting my new dentures.
So far all is fine and congratulations from friends how good they look!
Keep up the good work and hope we meet again sometime.”
