…School’s Out For Summer!!
On Friday last week the children broke up from school for just over 6 week of summer fun! The last week of term sees the year 6 leaver’s play, the whole school summer concert, videos, games and lots of very excited (and tired) children. There are tearful farewells for the leavers, “thank you” for the wonderfully patient teachers. The children clear out their class room, search the lost property for those misplaced unlabelled items which vanished during the school year and say goodbye to one teacher in preparation for a new teacher in September.
Now that the hot weather has arrived we can really get stuck into those summer activities. I and many other families are faced with the task of juggling friends, family, work and various holiday clubs. This seems a daunting task, but with careful planning and thought we have our summer sorted, trying to do new things and making time to see friends wherever possible. The children are enjoying a mix of clubs, visiting their amazing Grandparents and of course our family summer holiday. There are so many camps to choose from, offering excellent fun filled days to keep the children entertained.
Remember to look after your bodies and your skin during those lovely long hot days, plenty of water and sun cream. I brought myself a lovely new sun hat for the summer which I am looking forward to wearing. The children are super excited to be going on an aeroplane for the first time this summer! We are hearing of nothing else from Thomas!
Routines get disrupted during these times as we are indifferent places and doing different things. It is easy to forget your normal routine and to neglect those precious teeth! I often hear people saying that they couldn’t take their electric toothbrush on holiday, or that they forgot their floss/interdental brushes, or they lost their charger! So, get that washbag packed with all your essentials – from your sun cream to your toothbrush and floss…
Enjoy your summer holidays wherever your adventures take you!Go Back
