Hi everyone!
I can only apologise for the length of time it’s been since I last wrote to you all!
It’s been a hectic couple of weeks my end, and there’s just been no time at all to scribble anything down. I suppose we’d better start off with ‘HAPPY MARCH’! We’ve made it out of the brutal Winter months, and we are FINALLY heading towards Spring – more daylight and (hopefully) more sunshine! It’s been a long old Winter, and I think we’ll all feel the benefits of at the very least being able to travel back and forth from work in the light! ????
So, what do we have to catch up on?
We’ve missed discussing pancakes and the ludicrous things people like to pile onto them (the worst I heard was cottage cheese…sorry Kasia!), and we’ve missed the build up to the ever-popular Newbury Pancake Race! The Briars had enough willing(ish) volunteers to enter not one, but TWO teams into this year’s race! We had an epic team of surgeons, alongside a tooth fairy, a toothbrush, a toothpaste, and of course, a big mouth! We didn’t manage to win best dressed this year sadly (did someone say fix!?) – but we looked absolutely fantastic, and we all ran our little socks off! I managed to down 10 pancakes over the course of the day – 3 for breakfast, 2 for lunch and 5 for dinner…all with a healthy dose of sugar and lemon. Do 10 hits of lemon juice count towards my 5-a-day?!
I’ve had a really sweet tooth recently, pancakes were just the start of it – muffins have been fairly high on my ‘to-eat list’, as have fruit pastilles, and strawberry laces…and doughnuts. I am an absolute dental nightmare at the moment – I’m just trying to keep the treats to mealtimes, even if the mood strikes me every hour on the hour. I don’t really have any desire to be the size of a house by the time baby makes an appearance, or have cavities in every tooth – so I’ll try and behave myself – still blaming the baby though, nothing to do with me…;-)
What else we’ve been up to for the past couple of weeks will have to remain a mystery for now…I promise I will tell you ALL about it when everything is signed and sealed – it’s also a very long story, as things normally are in the dental world (!)
I hope you all have a lovely rest of the week!
Love, Amy x
