4 Days To Go…
This is my first blog so please be kind 🙂
So, in 4 days’ time I get to marry my amazing fiancé Ben! I cannot put into words how excited I am!!
Ben and I met at school when we were 15 (my first real boyfriend) – we even went to prom together! Eventually, we went our separate ways as looking back, we were far too immature for anything serious. But fate brought us back together 7 years later – and we haven’t looked back. Now nearly 13 years after we first met, we have a house together, two beautiful ginger kittens and we are about to tie the knot. Life couldn’t get better for me right now!
The wedding preparations have taken over my life a bit this last year but I have loved every minute of it! I have even vamped up my beauty regime! I have been dieting, tanning, whitening my teeth and I even tried out a face peel at the practice last month! What a bride puts herself through to make sure she looks her best on her wedding day, eh?!
The face peel I had at the practice was done as part of our training with Alumier products – I’m still playing around with which products suit me best, but so far, I love them! These treatments, apart from being great for your skin, are a great way to just sit back and relax – not something you get to do much of when you’re planning a wedding!! J We haven’t quite launched our new treatment yet, but we’ll keep you posted!
The final thing I have to do is get my teeth cleaned by one of the lovely hygienists at the practice to make sure I have a sparkling smile for the big day! I’ll be treating myself to a diamond polish, which is done with our airflow – it’s essentially a fine powder which helps to remove any sneaky stains! We offer airflow as an additional treatment on top of any hygienist appointment – so if you’ve got a special occasion coming up, let us know and we’ll get your appointment extended!
I must admit I do feel a lot more comfortable in myself since I have whitened my teeth! I’m no longer self-conscious in photos – I am proud to show off my pearly whites! It’s been such an easy treatment to do, but has made such a big difference. Whitening is completely non-invasive, and very easy to control yourself, as most of the actual treatment is done at home! The only time spent in the dental chair, is for the initial consultation and impressions, then for collection of the whitening goody bag, and then for a review of the shade! I’d not had whitening treatment prior to now, and I was amazed just how easy the process was – one I would definitely recommend, not just for brides and grooms-to-be, but for anyone!
The practice has a great range of treatments available, if you’re getting married or just want to give yourself a little boost then I would highly recommend The Briars.
Today is my last day at work so its time for me to switch on my out of office and get ready to become Mrs Hawkins!
Wish me luck!!
