Changes to the team

Fond Farewell Angie!

Last month, After 19 years of working at the practice, our lovely Receptionist Angie is retiring.

To say she will be missed is an understatement - not just a colleague to us, but very much part of the Briars family!

Happy Retirement Angie!

Important information about our services

Please be aware, that since we reopened our doors, we have been extremely busy. Whilst we try to fit all patients in especially those who require urgent dental treatment, we have limited availability therefore those who have severe dental pain, swelling or trauma will be classed as a priority and will be booked into the limited allocated emergency slots.

Unfortunately broken teeth or lost crowns for example do not class as urgent care however we do sympathise and will get you in for the next available appointment with your dentist.

What to expect on the day of your appointment:

  • When you arrive at the practice, please call on 01635 40311 to inform us you have arrived.

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment, you will be required to wait in your car or outside on the seat provided so please do not arrive too early.

Please be aware we are experiencing very high call volumes so if you are unable to get through to reception to inform them you have arrived, please come to the front door and ring the doorbell

  • Face coverings are compulsory, so please wear a mask to your appointment, if you do not have one, you can purchase one at the practice.

  • Please do not wear gloves when attending your appointment at the practice. We ask that any gloves are correctly disposed of prior to entering, as we require all patients to sanitise their hands.

  • Following FGDP guidelines, the toilets are currently out of use, so please ensure you go to the toilet and brush your teeth before you travel to the practice.
Please see webpage below to find your closest public toilet:

Just before you attend appointment, you will be required to complete a new COVID19 Screening form, you may have already filled this in but we need an up to date copy on the day of your appointment to ensure there are no changes.

Please note: If you answer yes to any of the questions, please contact the practice for further advice.

Vaccinations and Testing

‘V’ for vaccinated - and VERY grateful to the NHS for their hard work to make this incredible rollout possible.

Many of our team have now had the first and second COVID vaccinations.

We are also doing our best to keep our team and our patients as safe as possible with our on-going testing regime.

Are you interested in joining our In-House Practice Plan?

Our dental plans are very popular as they help our patients to save both time and money by spreading the cost of dental care throughout the year, and at a lower cost than our fee per item services. We have a range of flexible plans for both individuals and families. Please email us for more information or to obtain a personal of family plan quote.

Your opinions matter to us…

As a team, we have worked hard to create the very best experience for both new and existing patients during this time of uncertainty and worry.

The COVID-19 Pandemic has been a trying time for us all, and we have really appreciated the patience you have all shown while we find our feet with our ‘new normal’.

If you have already attended the practice for an appointment post lockdown, We hope you found your experience to be one that made you feel at ease, comfortable, and most importantly, safe. We appreciate that at the moment, there may be some degree of apprehension from our patients prior to attending for an appointment with us. How will the practice look? How will the staff be dressed? What will the service be like?

We write to you in the hope that, as a patient who has experienced our ‘new normal’, you could help us alleviate some of the fears and concerns that other patients may have prior to their first post-quarantine visit. If you could review your most recent experience of The Briars Dental Centre, we would be extremely grateful.

Here's what some of our patients have already had to say...

At the Briars we value our patients' feedback. We regularly review your comments and suggestions, and are always looking for ways to improve our service to your satisfaction - and just as importantly, we want to know when patients are happy with our service.

Your feedback shapes the way we provide our service. Thank you for your support.

With all our best wishes,

The team at the Briars Dental Centre
