Patient Update 16/03/2020
We are writing to let you know that we are open as usual and carrying on as normal whilst taking any steps to keep ourselves and our patients safe.
We understand what a worrying time this is, it goes without saying that COVID-19 has led to a unique and rapidly evolving situation. To minimise risk, we are asking everyone entering the practice to use the hand sanitiser on arrival and if you have a new persistent cough or elevated temperature please cancel your appointment. We have temporarily removed the magazines from the waiting rooms and are carrying out frequent disinfection processes within the building as well as maintaining our exceptionally high standards of cross-infection control in the surgeries.
If self-isolation of the over-70’s occurs in the forthcoming weeks or months, we will be looking to protect time at the start of the day for ‘over-70’s’ clinics. We are also able to offer video/Facetime/Skype consultations for appointments which may not require a visit to the surgery and advice can be given over the phone where needed.
As always, we’re looking after our patients and supporting our team members to keep them and their families healthy. If you have any concerns, please feel free to give us a call. It’s a constantly changing situation, so we’re keeping a close eye on all the advice from the experts and we’ll let you know as and when anything changes for the Briars Dental Centre – but at present, its business as usual!
