The Briars Dental Centre in Newbury, Berkshire offers this specialist service by their highly trained and experienced Endodontist, via referral from other dental practitioners or as a patient of The Briars.
Endodontics is the part of dentistry that deals with the inner portion of your tooth (pulp) which is commonly called the "nerve". By far the most common endodontic procedure is a root canal treatment (RCT) or root filling.
This procedure involves the removal of the inflamed, infected or necrotic nerve from inside your tooth, carefully cleaning the root canal space and placing a root filling material inside it. The root canal system is sealed to allow healing to proceed and to prevent re-infection occuring.
Endodontic procedures have evolved a great deal in recent years and it is now possible to predictably treat and save a tooth that years ago would have required extraction.
At The Briars Dental Centre our team of highly skilled dental professionals are delighted to discuss endodontic treatment with you, should this area of dentistry be required as part of your personal treatment plan.
If you would like to discuss your requirements with our Newbury based Endodontist, then please contact us to discover how we could help you.
